These Tangy Sloppy Joes are a delightful and easy twist on a classic, perfect for a quick family dinner. Inspired by a beloved sauce, this recipe brings a wonderful balance of sweet and savory to your table.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Chuck
  • 2 Cups of Ketchup
  • 1 1/2 Cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 Green Pepper Chopped
  • 1 Yellow Pepper Chopped
  • 1 Tsp Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • 1. In a large skillet, cook the ground chuck over medium heat until fully browned, then drain any excess fat.
  • 2. In a separate medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, packed brown sugar, chopped onion, green pepper, yellow pepper, liquid smoke, and garlic powder. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved and all ingredients are well combined into a smooth sauce.
