  • 4 Cod Fish Fillets (I used 2 6oz Fillets and cut them in 1/2)
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • Fat Free Tarter Sauce
  • Buns/Lettuce/Tomato

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, begin to heat the olive oil. Use enough to generously cover the bottom of the skillet.
  • Using 2 bowls, pour the flour into one bowl. In the second bowl, mix the bread crumbs and the lemon pepper. Coat each fish fillet with flour, shaking off excess, then coat with the breading mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Place in the heated oil. Cook on each side until well browned and the fish easily flakes with a fork, approximately 5-6 minutes per side.
  • If you prefer, you can use a beaten egg to dip the fish in after flouring and before breading to help the breading stick. However, with careful pressing, the breading adheres quite well without egg, making for a simpler preparation.
